Friends & Patrons

If Sinfonia Cymru is valuable to you, you can join the Friends with £30 or £50 and provide vital support for everything that we do.

For those individuals who are able to and wish to do more than become a Friend, we welcome Patrons, who will contribute £100 or more each year.

The donations given by Friends and Patrons can attract Gift Aid, providing additional support for the orchestra so please complete the declaration if you can.

As a Friend or Patron of Sinfonia Cymru you will come into touch with the orchestra and others like you who are inspired to support us and get involved.

Annual Donations

As a Friend or Patron of Sinfonia Cymru your annual donation will directly support

  • 4-6 concert series touring Wales.  We most regularly perform in Cardiff, Newport, Pontyberem, Llandrindod Wells, Criccieth and Rhosllanerchrugog
  • Our young players.  Sinfonia Cymru exists to provide professional opportunity and training for the most talented young orchestral players, graduating from the best conservatoires in the UK.  Providing a performance platform and the experience of playing important repertoire with leading soloists , this is a rare model for an orchestra and unique in Wales. Click here to read profiles of some of our current members.
  • Education projects, collaborative projects with other arts organisations (Sinfonia Cymru works in partnership with the Royal Welsh College of Music and drama and The Riverfront, Newport) and new commissions.

In return for your donation, Sinfonia Cymru will

  • Acknowledge your support in concert programmes
  • Keep you closely informed about activity and the professional progress of players, via the Friends and Patrons newsletter, sent on-line or by post before each concert series
  • Invite you to interval drinks when you attend concerts
  • Invite you to open rehearsals so that you can meet players and other supporters
  • Invite you to our annual Supporters Day, rotating every year to different parts of Wales, commencing with a lunch and culminating in a concert performance
